Description
DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Head of Sales in Cameroon. In this role, you will shape, drive, and manage the sales function, and define the country‑level strategy to deliver business growth and profitability. You will also focus on customer retention, improving competitive positioning, and optimizing resource utilization in line with the business strategy, financial objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
In this Head of Sales Cameroon position
- You will define the sales strategy for the country, cascade it, and monitor the delivery of sales objectives in line with the business strategy, financial objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
- You will lead, oversee, and control strategic activities and initiatives with significant impact on overall results and high business‑risk potential.
- You will drive market acquisition and retention strategies to maximize sales growth in the country and optimize profits.
- You will drive customer retention, business growth, and profitability by supporting customer strategies, contract negotiations, and supply chain management strategy.
- You will define improvement areas based on pipeline reporting, in collaboration with sales effectiveness teams.
- You will analyze the value of key technologies and industry developments and identify change needs for the function in the country.
- You will establish appropriate processes and infrastructure to support growth, enhance sales performance, and optimize resource utilization.
- You will support key customers and drive collaboration and cross‑selling activities in the country.
- You will steer systems for monitoring competitive activity and ensure the dissemination of information and best practices to relevant parties.
- You will formulate and roll out mechanisms to ensure sales performance management reporting, and direct and approve major sales strategy and development projects.
- You will deliver innovations that directly influence how the function operates and generates revenue in the country.
- You will reach agreements with external parties to secure acceptance of complete proposals and programs, even where there is limited interest or cooperation.
- You will negotiate and authorize critical agreements and contracts, significantly altering terms and conditions when required.
- You will lead, direct, coach, and develop the performance of the country sales team
